What to bring to Camp:

Be sure to bring:

- Your completed BSA health form

- Personal medications

- Class "A" uniform: Scout uniform shirt, green shorts

(Evening retreat & dinner) OA sash for tapping ceremony

- Class "B" uniform: Troop / Camp Barton T-shirts, shorts, pants

(Daily camp activities)

- Hat (Boy Scout or Camp Barton hats preferred)

- Sneakers / hiking shoes (2 pair)

- Sweat shirt or light jacket

- Raincoat or poncho

- Swim trunks

- Underwear & socks (enough for week)

- Personal gear (towel, soap, toothbrush/paste, comb)

- Sleeping bag / blankets / pillow

- Mug (or cup) for drinking Bug Juice or water

- Plastic bag for muddy shoes

- Boy Scout Handbook

- Notebook and pencils

- Flashlight

- Whistle

- Sun block

- Non-aerosol bug spray

- Old sneakers or heavy water shoes. (Please note: The Zebra Mussels in Cayuga lake can cut your bare feet)


Optional – you might want to bring:

- Camera/film, Watch, Compass, Individual first-aid kit, Sewing kit, Musical instrument (camp band – "Barton B" segment), Pocket knife (Totin' chip required), Cloths hanger, Merit Badge pamphlets, Ball glove, Frisbee, Fishing pole (Fishing merit badge)


Do not bring to camp!

- CD players, Boom Boxes, Radios, Mp3 players, Electronic games (GameBoys, etc.), Fireworks, Sheath or switchblade type knives, Guns of any kind, Archery equipment, Slingshots
